The Spring League Basketball has become the fastest-growing program in the CYO in the past 5 years. Using a centralized site model, the league allows children to continue to build their skills outside the traditional basketball season. Each year, the program expands geographically and in participation, serving over 2600 children from 4 counties. It provides a balance of competitive and a newly added developmental division. The centralized sites were in Westchester and welcomed 126 teams from Westchester, Bronx, Rockland, and Orange County. Staten Island also operates a Spring League serving the community, with the CYO-MIV Center traditionally serving as a host facility. The general season dates run from the end of March to June.
